Why Corporate Philanthropy?
Marc Hardy is an expert in corporate philanthropy who advises business leaders on the complexities, risks and rewards of corporate social responsibility, cause related marketing, and social entrepreneurship.
He is Director of Nonprofit Executive Programs at the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business. As a groundbreaking member of the first doctoral cohort of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, he gained extensive knowledge of the field. His practitioner's expertise as former Executive Director of the Fourth Freedom Forum, as an award winning sales manager, and as a speaker/trainer on customer service, management and leadership, give him a unique understanding of the mutually beneficial relationships between business and nonprofits and those they serve.
Marc Hardy to give keynote address at International Conference in Ukraine
The 3rd Ecumenical Social Week will be held in Lviv, Ukraine October 4-10, 2010 at Polytechnic National University. The conference will explore themes of "Trust, Responsibility and Philanthropy."
Hardy's keynote presentation will address the relationships between philanthropy and trust-building, and emphasize the responsibility we all have as individuals to pass on to future generations the generosity others have shown us. More...
Conference attendees include Martin Raiser from the World Bank, Muchel Camdesses, former Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Svitlana Kytc, President of the Centre for Philanthropy in Kiev. Several ambassadors to the Ukraine will also be in attendance, including Jacques Faure, Ambassador of France, Hans-Jurgen Heimsoeth, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Youssef Sadaka, Ambassador of Lebanon , Ivan Yurkovych, John Tefft , Ambassador of the United States, and Dj. Daniel Caron, Ambassador of Canada.
